His father "Elbert Christopher Woodyatt" was married to his mother, "Eva (?) Bryson [ Woodyatt ]"
who died in 1918.
His father then remaried to "Lula Mae Archer
[ Woodyatt ]" who raised him as her own son.
He married Catherine (?) Reuter [ Woodyatt } on Sept 16, 1940 with whom
he spent the next 65 years.
He received a degree in civil engineering from the Chicago Technical
College.
During world war II, he was employed in the construction and operation
of the Green River Ordinance Plant. Following the war he joined the Illinois Northern Utilities Company which became part
of of the Commonwealth Edison Corporation. until he retired in 1980. While there, he helped in the design and construction
of several atomic energy power plants.
